What is Average order value (AOV)?

The average revenue per single purchase — increased by upsells, bundles, and order-bumps.

The longer answer.

Average order value is total revenue divided by total orders. AOV is increased by post-purchase upsells, bundle pricing, order-bumps at checkout, and tiered pricing structures. Kavieo's funnel templates include upsell flows specifically to lift AOV. A 20% AOV lift on the same traffic is mathematically equivalent to a 20% lift in conversion rate — but usually easier to achieve.
